| For several years, my
wife, my children and me, us go(surrender)
several times A year to Valencia In Spain.Having relatives
installed(settled) over there, all the pretexts are good to éhapper
and live with the Spanish rhythm.
In car, we put neighborhood 6 hours by the highway to cross(to go through)
700 km which separate us from Valencia.
Beautiful morning of Mars 2000 an idea springs
in my Spirit : And if I made(did)
this journey by running?
Take time. To run along beaches at the edge of the méditerranée,
to follow mountainous paths, to cross from a country to the other
one, to cross small portsof sins, to runin orange groves as far as
the eye can see …
After discussion, two of my best friends suggest assisting me in
this ambitious sports trip. I decide then, to realize a complete
medical balance sheet to the hospital of Montpelier, in the service
of the sports medicine.
When a man wishes intensely something, all the universe contributes
to the realization of its dream.
And me here is thus left on a beautiful morning
of May, 2000

The arrival, the contact with the population, the reunion with the
family, my friends, such is my reward in the term of this expedition
which will have lasted 12 days and 4 hours.
Contrary to what we could think, it is not the
euphoria in my heart … On the contrary, a sensation of big
space invades me, can be because this
test so marked me Profoundly that the arrival seems to me insignificant.
Indeed on, my objective was to reunite these 2 points, but the
felt of my journey got the upper hand over the performance.
All this experience will let me however afterward, a sensation of
serenity, be indeed, of realization of one …
Some months after my return, I imagined then Decided
To organize for The first time
the Raid Montpellier-Valencia, with all the seriousness
and the rigour which requires such
a project.
